The Photographer of the Year - The Andrew West CupThe eventual winner is decided by the member who has the highest aggregate score over four digital image competitions.
The competitions are open in theme, two held before the Xmas break and two after. Members can submit up to 3 images to each comp. The club asks judges to award a 1st, 2nd and 3rd to the top images and further award Highly Commended & Commended to images he/she deems worthy. 1st= 20 points, 2nd =19, 3rd = 18 while Highly Commended =17 and Commended = 16 All other images are worth 15 points |
The Stanley Partridge Cup
The eventual winner is decided by the member who has the highest aggregate score over two themed digital image competitions, one print competition and one mobile phone competition which are all open competitions.
Members can submit up to 3 images and 3 prints for the relevant competitions. There is one theme and one print comp. before the Xmas break and the other mobile phone competition & theme competition after. The same scoring system is used as the Photographer of the Year |
Image of the Year
One digital open competition decides this award.
Members are invited to submit two images each for appraisal and the judge selects the one he/she feels is worthy of the title |
Nature photographer of the Year - The Mike Chandler Shield2023/2024 is the inaugural year of
The Nature Photographer of the Year. Decided over one competition to which members can submit up to three Digital Images which conform to the SPF guidelines for "Nature Images". One image, which is deemed the best, will be selected by the judge |
